GRADING

Grades 5 & 6

  • Student growth: Instrument performance and musicianship

  • Completed practice logs

  • Attendance/participation in class/required performances

  • Student achievement: Progress with Instrument performance and musicianship

Students will be graded every couple of weeks with a rubric based on the most important musical elements for their level.  Students should become comfortable with this rubric so they can use it to guide their practice.

*Personal growth and practice habits are the two most weighted categories in Band. *
